What We Believe

At People for Missions, we believe...

The Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative word of God.

There is one God, eternally manifested in the persons of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory upon earth.

That for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance toward God, faith in Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are absolutely essential.

That the believer is called to sanctification through identification with Jesus Christ in His death and resurrection.

In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling, empowering and gifts the Christian is enabled to live a life of godliness and effective service.

In prayer for the sick as set forth in James 5:14-15.

In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: those who are saved unto the resurrection of life and those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

That all Christians should be committed to the fulfilling of the Great Commission as set forth in Matthew 28:18-20, thus making it possible for the Gospel to be preached to all the peoples of the world.
